Blousy pastel blooms, "cool couple" energy and lashings of romance were the order of the day for Anita & Dan's June wedding at Garthmyl Hall in Powys, Mid Wales.
Personal Flowers
The flowers we designed for Dan and Anita’s wedding were a harmonious blend of soft, romantic tones that worked seamlessly with their wedding attire. The palette included shades of blush pink, peach, ivory, and lilac which, when combined, felt fresh, feminine, and timeless—perfect for a June wedding! They celebrated the joys of early summer without feeling too formal or fussy.
We carefully selected a mix of summer garden blooms for the bridal bouquet and petite mini versions for the bridesmaids bouquets, including "secret garden" roses, tanacetum daisies and scabiosa. All tied with trailing silk ribbon in a delicate pink, they looked fantastic against both Anita's elegant wedding dress and the satin bridesmaid dresses in tones of eucalyptus green. Not to be outdone by the girls, the Groom and Groomsmen wore green textured wool suits with boutonniere style buttonholes of smaller garden flowers tied with matching pink silk ribbon.

Ceremony Flowers
The wedding ceremony took place in the Walled Garden at Garthmyl Hall surrounded by stunning blooms and luscious planting in a relaxed "English country garden" style (or should that be Welsh country garden?!). With old brick walls covered in soft climbing florals, the space felt like an enchanted secret garden, ideal for a romantic exchange of vows in front of their family and friends.
The floral designs were inspired by the surrounding garden - lush, green, and abundant—but with a refined palette that captured of the joy of early summer. We echoed this whimsical and abundant vibe by lining the aisle with meadow arrangements full of summer blooms in a "just grown there" style. Soft blush roses, allium, and scented "mock orange" lead guests to the couple’s ceremony.
As Anita walked down the aisle, her bouquet complemented the surroundings perfectly—fluffy pastel blooms accented with sweet pea tendrils perfectly embodying the essence of a summer wedding in full bloom.

Reception Flowers
Anita & Dan had been coveting our stunning staircase installations during their wedding planning and were keen for a showstopping floral arrangement to greet their guests as they entered their reception. We continued the loose romantic garden style arrangements creating cohesion with the floral designs used for the ceremony and giving guests a hint of what was to come at the rest of wedding reception.
As guests entered the marquee they were greeted by rustic oak long trestle-style tables lined with an array of bud vases, each holding a simple collection of summer blooms interspersed with candles in coloured glass holders, the overall effect was one of warmth and intimacy, creating a cozy, romantic atmosphere.
But the pièce de résistance was the hanging hoop floral installation suspended above the guests. Crafted from a variety of summer garden flowers, it was as if the garden itself had been brought indoors. Roses, allium, and ferns accented the suspended foliage hoop with disco balls nestled in the middle for an added whimsical touch, with soft foliage dripping down creating a sense of dreaminess in the marquee.

Floral designs like the ones at Dan and Anita’s wedding don’t just add beauty to a day—they add an emotional connection to the space, creating memories that will last long after the petals have fallen.
