Mid Week Wedding Inspiration - Sea Glass

Heyyy Guys & Girls! It's time again!

This weeks #MidWeekWeddingInspo theme was "Sea Glass". There's no big story as to why I chose this one... Other than I saw a pretty photo of sea glass the other day & decided to base this week's theme on that. (Also after last week's Mustard themed board I didn't want you all to think I was going to persuade you into a bold colour scheme - so this is a bit softer!!)

I wanted to create something that had a definite coastal feel without being too literal - no jellyfish or sand here! Here's the board - I couldn't fit the wedding dress into the snip so check it out on Pinterest.

Delphiniums in perfect sky blue contrast spikey Eryngium & Globe Thistle. Succulents compliment the pewter & silver foliage of Eucalyptus (Cinerea & Baby Blue) and Astrantia flowers. Soft seaside-y frothiness is created by Astilbe, Ammi Visnaga, Scabiosa and Veronica in shades of white. Place settings are made up with vintage blue china, mismatched and layered. Tapered white candles flicker on sparkling clear and mercury glass holders. Obviously I've gone for another coloured dress (love a coloured wedding dress!) this time in dusty blue frothy tulle which is complemented by the white textured flowers. Bouquets are tied with trailing velvet ribbon which dance in the coastal breeze!
