Maya and Ryan chose a tonal ivory and pink colour palette for their autumn wedding at Rowton Castle on the Mid Wales / Shropshire border.
Maya wanted her bridesmaids to have something a bit unusual. She chose these gorgeous floral hoops instead of traditional bridesmaid bouquets. The gold metal hoops were chosen to compliment the gold metal welcome sign and cake stand, this tied different aspects of the wedding together for a thoughtful and cohesive look.
The WOW piece of the wedding was the fireplace floral installation. Maya gave me full creative control over this design, she knew she wanted something quietly impactful which would be hidden away during the ceremony and then revealed for the wedding breakfast. We went for an asymmetrical design, to give a modern edge to a traditional venue. The design looked like it had organically grown up and around the amazing fireplace at Rowton Castle. The result was truly breath-taking!
Maya and Ryan live in Italy (wedding planning in a pandemic has certainly had it's difficulties for them!) so we decided to include subtle nods to the Mediterranean in their flowers; using seeded eucalyptus and olive foliage alongside seasonal British flowers like Dahlia and Amaranthus. Dried olive leaves were mixed with rose petals for their confetti and they even had local Italian olive oil and balsamic vinegar as their wedding favours. (You might even notice the repeated stag motif throughout the day if you look closely!). It really is those little thoughtful touches that make your day truly YOURS!
Congratulations Maya & Ryan!
