The weather did not disappoint for Molly & Jack's festival style wedding last summer. They opted for a colour palette of tonal ivory, cappuccino and burnt orange for their relaxed boho wedding at Stanford Farm in Shropshire.
The Personal Flowers
Molly wore an embroidered wedding dress and the dried floral headpiece of dreams, leaning into the boho festival theme. Her bouquet was the perfect mix of whimsical romance and relaxed boho chic with whispy dried grasses, earthy tones and hints of burnt orange. I selected "Quicksand" and "Mochaccino" roses alongside ruffled "Caramel" carnations, echinacea and larkspur. Texture was added through the use of dried materials; scabiosa seed pods, "yearning desert" amaranthus and fluffy "smoke bush". Finished off with luxury trailing silk ribbon in terracotta from The Botanical Dyer for the ultimate boho bride bouquet.
Molly's bride tribe wore burnt orange multi-way dresses, Their bouquets, a petite version of the bridal bouquet, tied the wedding party together perfectly creating a relaxed mid summer feeling throughout the wedding. Again, they were finished with trailing silk ribbon which cascaded along in the summer breeze as they walked down the aisle.
The Groom and Groomsmen complimented the Bridesmaid's dresses with burnt orange ties. Their informal but smart, sandy beige linen suits were perfect for the weather... because flipping heck it was hot one!
Jack chose a buttonhole containing a mixture of dried and fresh flowers for both himself and his Groomsmen. The design echoed the contents of the bridal party bouquets creating style cohesion.
The Ceremony Flowers
Molly and Jack chose to have an informal outdoor wedding ceremony in the meadow, with their guests looking on from straw bail seating! We dressed the wooden ceremony structure with pillar arrangements filled with an abundance of flowers, creating a real focal point of the ceremony space. We complimented the floral pillars with meadow arrangements lining the aisle, drawing the eye towards the couple exchanging their vows and creating dreamy photo opportunities throughout the ceremony.
Following their wedding ceremony, Molly & Jack's family and friends showered them with biodegradable paper confetti in a complimentary colour palette - Molly really had thought of everything!
The Reception Flowers
As Molly & Jack, with their family and friends, sipped drinks and played garden games (hand made by the couple themselves!) in the sunshine, behind the scenes we were busy moving their ceremony floral designs into position for their wedding breakfast. The aisle meadow arrangements were repositioned in front of the top table, and the pillars either side of the couple creating a focal point at the front of the room and giving instant impact as guests entered.
The tables were laid out in a banqueting style, with rustic wooden trestle tables and whitewashed chairs and dressed with burnt orange cheesecloth table runners, rattan placemats and gold candlestick holders. Stoneware vases were dotted along the centre of the tables, adding a fresh pop of colour with a mixture of dried and fresh flowers. The handmade clay place names and biscuit wedding favours added a super cute personal touch.
The room was given a magical twinkling glow with masses of fairy lights, lanterns and flickering tapered candles, transforming the space into a boho wedding paradise.
Congratulations Molly & Jack!
